The Bull Run Restaurant

The Bull Run Restaurant is famed for our prime cuts of exquisite South African beef - stored and served via our own in-house butchery – and an extensive selection of the finest Cape wines. Situated opposite the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and near popular nightspots in the upmarket suburb of Sandton, the pulse, energy and vibe of the Bull Run caters for any occasion – be it a business lunch to close that power-deal, dinner before a night on the town, a catered corporate function or exclusive private party.

When the business at hand turns to gastronomy, enjoy one of the Bull Run’s prime cuts of South African beef – direct from the in-house butchery - and speak to your waiter about a wine pairing from the extensive list of wines on offer. If you opt for a starter before your meal, you’ll be hard-pressed to choose from the extensive list, which includes Bull Run classics such as the Spicy Wors or smoked Springbok Carpaccio. The seafood selection is fresh and plentiful - oysters, mussels, calamari, linefish, prawns or crayfish – and chicken or ostrich complete the variety on offer.

While the Bull Run may be famed for its steaks, there is certainly no skimping on the vegetable offerings. Those opting for more herbivorous pleasures may enjoy a wide range of garden-fresh, unique salads – such as the Bull Run prawn ritz or smoked salmon and rosti salad – or opt for a purely vegetarian platter, curry, burger or pasta; with a variety of hot vegetables – such as honey baked butternut and creamed spinach – available on the side.

The Bull Run’s Executive Chef, Jacques Etsebeth, has packed a wealth of fine culinary experience into his fourteen years as a chef and the fare he lovingly prepares and serves to the patrons of the Bull Run speaks for itself.
